Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
The curriculum for our Kids Classes is the same as the Adult Classes, but at a slower pace. The techniques are broken down into great detail. There is an emphasis on self-defense techniques such as breaking wrist grabs and escaping bear hugs. We are mainly teaching the self-defense and the body control techniques to the kids. As they advance, we introduce submissions on a limited and monitored basis. We also incorporate some Karate techniques with the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. These martial arts are complementary and provide your child with a solid basis for continued study of the martial arts as they grow.
Why You and Your Child Will Love Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu...

Class Structure
Our classes are structured to keep your child focused on the techniques being taught in a fun and safe environment. The first part of the class is the warm up. This will improve their flexibility, agility, and strength. Following the warm up, quality black belt instruction in self-defense, jiu-jitsu positioning, and striking will be shown in a fun but serious atmosphere. Your child will then pair up with another child and drill the technique being taught with supervision. Not only does this teach proper technique, but it also builds teamwork skills and provides social interaction with other children. After the lessons are taught, the children will play games arranged by the Instructor. These games are designed to build coordination, strength, and speed in an extremely fun way -- the kids absolutely love it! When class is finished, children and parents are encouraged to ask questions.
